Wenatchee School District's three middle schools offer students in grades 6–8 the opportunity to discover their sport, build their skills, and begin the journey toward Panther Athletics at Wenatchee High School.

With nine sports offered across our middle schools, there's a place for every student-athlete who is ready to compete, grow, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

Every sport played at the middle school level is a stepping stone — building the foundation of teamwork, discipline, and Panther Pride that carries student-athletes all the way to the varsity level and beyond.

Resources

  • Grade checks are completed periodically during the season. If a student-athlete is failing (1.0) one or more of their classes, they will be placed on academic probation until those class grades are at a passing score. While on probation, the student may practice but can't participate in any contests or travel to any away competitions.

  • Coaches will communicate any team information and schedule changes using FinalForms. Parents/Students receive a weekly email from the coaches with information pertaining to the upcoming week(s). Emergency information related to weather or other incidents will be communicated by the district or school through ParentSquare.

  • When your school plays another team in the district there will be no bus back to school, you will need to take your student home from the contest.

The school district transports athletes by bus to and from competitions outside of district boundries. If a parent wants to transport their son/daughter home following a contest, all the parent has to do is find the coach and initial next to their student’s name on the roster.

  • Generally, practices are held Monday-Friday. Practice times vary, but are usually 3:40-5:00 pm. Some sports will practice in the morning before school, from 6:45-7:45 am. Practice locations may not be at your child’s school. In the event the practice facility is at another school, bus transportation is provided. Parents will need to pick up their child from the practice location.

School-specific information can be found in each school’s information document: Foothills, Orchard, Pioneer. For information about combined middle school sports: Cross Country, Tennis/Pickleball

  • Please contact Wenatchee Athletics’ Middle School Athletics Coordinator, Ty Waterman with any questions about middle school athletics.
